Cabarrus County

Located just north of Mecklenburg County, much of Cabarrus county is considered a suburb of Charlotte. It gives a small town feel with big city access. Concord, Kannapolis, Midland and Mt Pleasant have a total population of approximately 220,000. Cabarrus County is one of the fastest growing in the state, one of it’s biggest draws is the proximity to Charlotte but with a lower tax rate. Also home to Concord Mills Mall (one of the largest in the region) and Charlotte Motor Speedway, the county seat of Concord sees it’s fair share of tourists.

Cabarrus County School system includes a total of 40 schools and covers the entire county with the exception of Kannapolis, which operates as an independent school district.
